NAVSEA Capstone

My senior capstone project granted me the opportunity to work with the great team at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, Washington (NUWCDIVKPT). My primary responsibilities as a capstone team member involved performing computational fluid dynamics calculations on various design alternatives, and modeling, designing, and specifying pipe system characteristics and parts for both the large-scale and small-scale systems. Aditional responsibilities for this project included performing a cost analysis for both the large scale and small scale systems and writing the technical reports for senior NAVSEA engineers. This opportunity allowed me to hone my skills and understanding in computational fluid dynamics, fluid transport systems, finite element analysis, computer-aided drafting, spreadsheets, communication skills, and project management.
