KLJ Engineering

During my time at KLJ, I played the role of a resident project representative (RPR) intern. This position involved overseeing the construction of a 24" underground water transmission line located in Dickinson, ND. High on the list of responsibilities for this position included ensuring contract compliance on the part of the contractors and overseeing hydrostatic line, concrete, road base, and asphalt testing. I worked in close contact with Senior engineers, city officials, and contractor supervisors. Among other things, I was also responsible for the upkeep of large summary of quantity spreadsheets and as-built drawing plans. The internship at KLJ Engineering allowed me to sharpen my communication skills, expand my understanding of project management, and gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of civil engineering.
